India, the country which is a homeland for 140 crore Indians with vast human diversity, never seen in any part of the world, has been a victim of terrorism for the past many decades. Thousands of Indians were killed mercilessly by the terrorists infiltrating its borders. Now India faces threat to its people, its institutes from terrorist Pannun, hiding in the United states of America and Canada.
When India caught Kasab the terrorist alive on 26/11 during the 2008 attack on Mumbai and interrogated him, the world learnt the mentality of these cold-blooded murderers. In the name of Jihad, which Kasab felt “is about killing and getting killed and becoming famous, also makes God proud.” he and his group killed hundreds of innocents. Before this, India faced an attack on the Indian parliament on 13th Dec 2001, the temple of democracy led by Afzal Guru the terrorist.
Every time, India has been attacked, it has stood up valiantly and fought against evil forces. But, the perpetuals like Kasab and the Afzal guru must be chopped off in the nascent stage. Here, the world needs to act together in punishing the terrorists who are not only targeting the Indian people but also its temple of democracy.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is one such terrorist who is hiding in Western countries and plotting to attack India. He is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. From the land of the United States, he threatened to attack the Indian parliament on December 13, 2023. The same United States which faced the 9/11 deadly attacks – lost the Twin Towers and Pentagon to the terrorist attack.
The United States of America reacted to 9/11 attacks by attacking the terrorists hiding in Afghanistan’s borders. The search went on for years, and it killed Osama Bin Laden hiding in Abbottabad, Pakistan, because it felt it was needed to defend its people and its country.
Now, Pannun is Osama Bin Laden for India. He has given multiple threats to India. Maybe during the ICC World Cup 2023 where he threatened India that he would make it a World Terror Cup. He threatened Indian citizens flying Air India that he would destroy every Air India plane. He now threatens to attack the temple of democracy of India, the Indian Parliament on December 13. The radical terrorist feels he has freedom of speech, and liberty to attack Indian people, and its institutions at his will and releases videos threatening the Republic of India.
If the United States of America felt it was its right to defend its people, and its land by killing Osama Bin Laden hiding somewhere in Pakistan; then it is the right of the Indian government, and its people to nab and kill the dangerous Pannun who is hiding now in the United States of America and Canada.
The world should now act against Pannun. The onus is on the United States of America and Canada to produce the culprit Pannun to India. They should not behave like Pakistan which gave safe heavens to Osama Bin Laden.
