We have been listening lot of news about the Kolkata Doctor's murder and also playing our part in social media by sharing the stories using hashtags and doing candle marches and many more but in the same social we have recently started seeing about the back story the reason behind the brutal murder of one of our savior. Let us know the complete details of this brutal and heart-wrenching incident. However, we do not have solid proof of what exactly happened. It all started on the Aug 8th, 2024 at RG KAR government medical college, a woman of 31 years was brutally raped and murdered by one of the civic service volunteers names Sanjay Roy. However, the news spread all over the country after the entire incident took place on August 9th, 2024.

The backstory:

On August 8th, she attended dinner with her 4 friends after the 36 hrs of shift and later stayed at the same waiting hall as she needed to study. She stayed there because the hospital management doesn't have special rooms for the doctors to study and rest. After that day on the next day morning, she was found dead in the seminar hall with many injuries on her body. Soon after the police came to the scene and without investigating they concluded it was a suicide and then called her father to say the news. Later father came to collect the body and saw his beloved daughter half-naked with multiple bruises on her body. Soon he realized something was wrong and asked to take a picture of his daughter at first the police never agreed but he insisted on taking the photo and sent it to his relatives. One of the women from the relatives observed it was not a normal suicide as both her legs were bent at 90 degrees.

Later the family demanded the postmortem reports and then the postmortem report results gave the shocking news that she was being raped and had multiple injuries. Her eyes are bleeding as they have glass pieces in them, her thyroid cartilage broke as she was choked to death, her left-hand ring finger and the collar bone both were broken and the entire body has nail scratches and many more bruises on her body along with that they also found blood running from her private parts.

The post-mortem report declared it was a rape and murder case. After the reports, all the doctors started protesting and stopped working in the college. In support of them, all the medical students from various states like Maharashtra, Delhi, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh started protesting for justice. Along with the students, the Federation of the Resident Doctor Association demanded to resignation of the officials who are now serving and also asked for the protection of the doctors. On the other hand, the police started an investigation and found a Bluetooth near the victim's body checked all the cc TV footage, and found Sanjay Roy (a civic servant). civic servants are the people that help the police of Kolkata. they were appointed by the Mamta Banerjee in the year 2019 to help the police. They were completely contract-based and get an in-hand salary of  12000 /- month.

He has 2 sisters and his mother at home and coming to his martial status he was married 4 times all his three wives left him due to his criminal mind and the last wife died due to cancer. In the investigation, they tried to match the scratch marks on the body with the nails of Sanjay Roy and found they were completely matched together. He went to Kharagpur on Aug 5th and came back on Aug 8th exactly on the day of the incident. He was at the hospital as he came to help one of the patients in the hospital and on the way back he had drinks with his friends near the hospital and found the girl in the seminar hall and killed her. And they also found that he washed his clothes after going home to destroy the evidence.

How people are reacting to this news?               

All the medical students stopped treating patients except emergency services and started doing rallies on roads by using the placards showing we want justice, safety measures should be taken, etc. On the other hand college management suddenly started renovating several areas near the crime scene. These made people suspect that they were trying to destroy the evidence.

 Sandeep Gush, the principal of the RG Kar College himself has a great criminal history and commented that it was her fault for staying alone at night and the management didn't have any responsibility and later filed a resignation letter, but the council decided to transfer him rather than suspend him.

A doctor Subarno Goswami, after seeing the reports said that Sanjay Roy was not only the culprit alone. and there are some other people behind the light by seeing the reports he also found that her vagina consists of 152grms of thick fluid most probably it was identified as semen. A normal human can only produce 10-15 grams of semen during orgasm but reports show more of it which led to the conclusion of it was a gang rape.

Let me talk about the news that was circulating on social media about the college and the scams that are happening in the college. Sandeep Gush,  RG Kar government medical college's principal is the main corrupted one with the history. He created a nexus that includes medical interns and PG people who have strong medical backgrounds. He used to take money from them to pay the doctors.

In the college, they used to run s*rackets as well as dr*grackets. The victim got to know about all of them and tried complaining about it to the head and principal without knowing they were the main part of the scamsTop of Form. At first, they tried vandalizing her car and later gave her long night shifts for a week. She stood strong and started demanding justice that is when they decided to remove her.

She and her fellow interns completed their shift and had dinner around midnight after one of their fellow interns had a fight with each other and left the place she was all alone and tried to take some rest before her other ft. Then the criminals came to the scene and tortured her to death and then gave her to the scapegoat Sanjay Roy as he would take the blame and he would be soon out of jail. After the murder, they tried every way possible to destroy the evidence and even destroy the washroom they cleaned off their blood, and hospital management claimed it was under renovation. However, everything is uncertain in this case, it was now handled by the CBI. So they will find the truth soon.

CBI mainly focuses on 6 points they are:

  • How many people raped her?
  • Is Sanjay Roy alone at the crime scene?
  • Is evidence destroyed?
  • Why was it pointed out as suicide in the beginning?
  • Is hospital management behind this case?
  • Why did the people take more time to report the incident to the police?

We can see that justice was almost delayed so we can never really find any justice for one of our saviors who tried hard to survive and fight for her. When she tried to showcase the truth behind the medical colleges all the people failed her most brutally. Most of the people also claimed the government was trying to close the case without giving any justice because of the recent rally conducted by Mamta Banerjee. She started protesting but she was the one who needed to take action and do justice. the funniest thing in this entire scenario is that she started protesting against her government. Which led to a lot of suspicions among the people. Let us hope she will get the justice she deserves!!
