30 November 2023 will be a decisive date for the Telangana, as you make your fate by electing a government. The government for the next 5 years is going to be elected by Telanganites- youth, men and women. Telangana state formed 10 years back on 2 June 2014, because of people's agitation, now reels under severe economic stress with a loan of more than 3 Lakh crore.

The unemployment of Telangana now stands at 15.1% which is higher than the national average of 10%. One of the prime reasons for the Telangana state formation is people's demand that jobs be created for the Telangana people. However, that remains a distant dream. Delayed job calendars and examination notifications, repeated exam postponements and scams in TSPSC examinations have killed the aspirations of the youth in the bud stage.

The lavish & unnecessary expenditure of crores of taxpayers' money on Bathukamma Saree Distribution, Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Laxmi Pathakam, Iftar, and Christmas parties organized by the state are among prime factors that led to increased debts in the state of Telangana. How can we forget the 600-car convoy of ruling party leaders heading for a political trip to Maharashtra at the expense of taxpayer money?

The Bathukamma sarees, iftar and Christmas parties are among the most fund-utilised areas. The lives of people couldn't be uplifted in areas of education and livelihood. Instead of reimbursing student tuition fees, the government found increasing liquor licenses in the state of Telangana a priority.
For the freebies distribution liquor campaign served as the source of income generation. 19 per cent of the state population drinks liquor, which is higher than the national average of 17.3 per cent. It shouldn't be a surprise to find that Telangana has become the capital of drunkards, thanks to the ruling party's relentless efforts to promote liquor. Women feel unsafe walking on roads because of the increase in liquor shops.
The COVID-19 pandemic took away millions of lives across the world, however, there are very few leaders in the world who could laugh at the severity of the outbreak and suggest paracetamol as a cure for the disease. The state was ruled from the farmhouse, not from the secretariat.

How can one forget this image where an elderly woman from Nalgonda was trying to save his son affected due to COVID-19? She lost her son, and thousands of people lost their loved ones because the state was not ready.

Now, as you go and vote, the only way ahead for a state to progress is to elect leaders, who can give opportunities for youth to work, who doesn't promote liquor but prohibits it, who are ready to provide quality education and medical infrastructure. The state can't afford to give any freebies, as it will further alleviate the debts of the state.

Remember, your vote is your destiny!
