Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially kicked off the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. The event, aimed at celebrating '20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success,' witnessed the presence of prominent global leaders, including United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, scheduled from January 10 to 12, 2024, is a significant platform for fostering economic growth and international cooperation.

 The Mahatma Mandir venue was abuzz with discussions and networking sessions as leaders from various sectors congregated to explore opportunities and discuss challenges. With a focus on promoting sustainable development and innovation, the summit aims to strengthen ties between Gujarat and the global business community.

Addressing a captivated audience on Wednesday, Ambani emphasised the significance of Gujarat in the company's ethos, echoing the sentiments imparted by his father, Dhirubhai Ambani, in his childhood. Speaking passionately, Ambani paused briefly as Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the event. "Gujarat is your matrubhoomi, Gujarat should always remain your karmabhoomi," reminisced Ambani, reiterating his commitment to the state's prosperity. "Reliance was, is, and will always remain a Gujarati company," he declared, highlighting the conglomerate's dedication to realizing the dreams of the state's populace. Ambani emphasized that the integration of 5G and artificial intelligence (AI) would catalyze a transformative impact on Gujarat's economy, enhancing productivity and competitiveness while generating millions of job opportunities.

Ambani also revealed initiatives by Reliance Retail to deliver quality products and empower farmers in Gujarat. Additionally, the conglomerate is establishing India's first carbon fibre facility in Hazira, contributing to the circular economy. In a move towards bolstering sports infrastructure, Ambani announced that Reliance and Reliance Foundation would collaborate with others to support India's bid for the 2036 Olympics. This partnership aims to enhance education, sports, and skill infrastructure, nurturing future sports talents.

The Adani Group, under the direction of Chairman Gautam Adani, disclosed its ambitious plan to invest Rs 2 lakh crore ($24 billion) in Gujarat's green and renewable energy sectors over the following five years. Gautam Adani highlighted the potential creation of around 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs through this substantial investment, further contributing to the state's economic development.
