Journalist- Intern

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Journalism Intern to join our editorial team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of journalism. You will work closely with our experienced reporters and editors, contributing to various aspects of the news production process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with research and fact-checking for news stories and feature articles.
2. Gathering information, conducting interviews, and developing story ideas.
3. Write and edit articles, blog posts, and other content as assigned. Participate in editorial meetings and provide input on story development.
4. Help with social media management and audience engagement.
5. Assist in the preparation of multimedia content, including photos and videos.
6. Maintain accurate and organized records of research and source materials.
7. Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry and managing press contacts.

Requirements:

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
2. Familiarity with news writing standards and ethical journalism practices.
3. Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Proficiency in using content management systems and social media platforms.
5. Basic multimedia tools and software knowledge are a plus
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Enthusiasm for current events and a passion for journalism.
