The fuel for Formula 1 cars will be meticulously crafted at the Paradip refinery in Odisha, renowned for its advanced technology and strategic positioning. This exciting announcement was made by Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman of the IOC, highlighting India’s foray into the prestigious realm of Formula 1 championships.
IOC’s pioneering endeavour includes the creation of a brand-new fuel category named ‘Storm,’ tailored specifically for motor racing vehicles. Unveiled under the umbrella of IOC’s diverse product range, which includes AVGas 100LL and reference fuels, ‘Storm’ exemplifies India’s commitment to self-reliance and technological advancement. This specialised racing fuel, produced at IOC’s Gujarat refinery, has received coveted approval from the FIM-approved M/s Intertek in Switzerland, attesting to its adherence to stringent international standards.
