On February 14, 2019, Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, India, were attacked, and 40 soldiers were martyred for their love of the nation. On the same day, around the year A.D. 270, a holy Saint Valentine in Rome was executed, thus becoming a Christian martyr. Both are different but the same; how?

At 15:15 IST, at Lethpora, Jammu and Kashmir, a brainwashed terrorist, Adil Ahmad Dar of Jaish-e-MOHAMMED, an UN-designated terrorist organization, rammed his explosive-filled vehicle into the convoy of buses carrying Indian soldiers (CRPF personnel). Forty soldiers were killed in this terrorist attack. They attained martyrdom.

The brainwashed terrorist Adil Ahmad Dar recorded a video before he executed this suicide attack on Indian soldiers. He expressed no remorse for the crime he was going to commit and said he would be in Jannat (heaven). He also mentioned, 'Don't fall in love"  with anyone.

The other story is about Valentine, who was executed.

Valentine Story

Once upon a time, there was a priest named Valentine in Rome in the Kingdom of Emperor Claudius II. The ruler forced men to remain unmarried as he believed they could be better soldiers than married men. So he ordered that young men should get married. But Valentine didn't agree with this law. He secretly married couples who were in love. When Claudius found out about this, he ordered Valentine to be killed. He was killed on February 14, A.D. 270. It's rumored that before he died, he wrote a letter to his love (Jailors girl), signing it "From your Valentine," a phrase still commonly used today. For his service and love, he attained Christian martyrdom.

The two contrasting stories of sacrifices. One is for love towards the nation, and the other is the sacrifice for love towards relations. Indian soldiers attained martyrdom, and Valentine attained Christian martyrdom.

Men like Adil Ahmad Dar and Claudius are everywhere around us who not only say "Don't fall in love" but also kill others. We must be aware, and fight against them.
